How Many Terrorists?
Of the 4.5 million Palestinian Arabs living in Israel, approximately 9,000 are in Israeli jails, either suspected of, charged with, or convicted of terrorism. This is a percentage (2 tenths of 1 percent) that is significantly lower than the percentage of American citizens who are in prison. Additionally, what does this say about the enormous percentage of the population that is not in prison? Maybe normal Palestinians can get along with the Israelis.
About 300 of these prisoners are either women or youth. A small group of these may have been wrongly accused as terrorists, but it does not help the anti-Israeli cause to ask for the release of prisoners who clearly are terrorists.
