Saddam Hussein was found guilty of 148 murders in Dujail Iraq, and as the verdict of death was announced, he became visibly shaken. Most Celebrate, Some Don’t
Shia and Kurds were mostly those who celebrated the verdict, but they celebrated en mass despite a declared curfew. Muqtada al Sadr asked that the demonstrations be peaceful. Abdul Aziz al Hakim hoped aloud that the verdict could help put an end to the violence that plagued Iraq. Read More…
